Other highlights of the area include being the boyhood home of the legendary Glenn Miller and there is evidence that his signature sound was learned at the local high school!
The area has been home to a variety of Native American tribes over the generations, immigrants from all corners of the world have gathered here and continue to come to the area. It is a hub of agricultural activity with corn, sugar beets, beef, and wheat grown locally that help feed the economy.
